I received only two unsolicited new "Blogger Account Information" emails offering the opportunity to change my password on Monday; one at 9:13 PM the second at 9:26 PM.

HEY! BLOGGER! WHAT GIVES WITH THESE? ( I have posted a request for information on this issue at the Blogger user forums, but expect no reply.)

Blogger seems to be generating random password changes.

Last night I logged in, using my long standing PW. Posted the November 18 entry on this blog.

Just now I could not log in. I requested a PW change, changed the PW, and was returned to my account so that I could post this blog entry.

I did not change my PW, so Blogger must have. Or, and this is an interesting possibility, Blogger's PW records are not secure and someone else is changing my PW.

Since notes to Blogger Support on this topic are ignored, it seems to be impossible to find out from Blogger what is happening.

UPDATE: 10:09 PM
I find SIX, countem, 6, new "Blogger Account Information" emails from "no-reply@blogger.com" in my inbox! WTH? Each is identical, and begins with
This email is a response to your request for information about your Blogger account. To regain access to your account, please click on the following link: http://www.blogger.com/p.g?k=redacted
The times of the emails are: 6:44 PM; 6:57; 6:59; 7:00; 7:13; and 7:19 PM.

Is Blogger generating these randomly? Why are they being generated, if not by system error? To double check I logged onto my Blogger account and posted this update, with no apparent difficulty.

It seems to me that Google needs to give its Blogger subsidiary a hand - maybe send some of its crack systems and programming people over to straighten things out a bit.
